Nokia may have even more new smartphones up its sleeve following the release of the Nokia 3310.
The company has enjoyed something of a resurgence after revealing the refreshed Nokia 3310 at Mobile World Congress last month.
The new device, which will go on sale for €49, roughly £42 converted, was the surprise hit of the show, and looks set to be popular with consumers as well.
Nokia has made a number of changes to the new Nokia 3310 to bring it up-to-date with rival devices, including the addition of a 2MP rear camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and an overhauled Snake game.
However it seems that the nostalgic release was not all that Nokia had planned, after a new video revealed details about another possible new release from the company.
Nokia also revealed several other smartphones at MWC, but one device that was missing was the highly-rumoured Nokia P1.
However this may have now surfaced in a new concept video, renamed as the Nokia 1.
As shown in a video by Concept Creator, the Nokia 1 features a full touchscreen that dwarfs the Nokia 3310’s tiny display.
The device also looks to pack in a powerful rear camera with dual-flash sensor, however there doesn’t appear to be a fingerprint reader.
There’s no news yet on the hardware of the device, but given Nokia’s other recent announcements, we’d expect the Nokia 1 to be near the lower end of the power sector.
The video claims that the new device will be available in multiple colour schemes, with red, blue, black and grey options all shown off.
There’s no news yet on a UK release date, price or availability, but it’s fair to say Nokia will be keen to get this new device out quickly in order to capitalise on the recent interest in the company.
Previous reports had claimed that the Nokia P1 could be the most powerful smartphone released by the company to date.
The Nokia P1 was also rumoured to have an all-metal body and a 5.3inch display covered in Gorilla Glass 5, making it hopefully resistant to drops and spills, and come with IP57 dust and water-proof protection
Below this is a physical home button with an embedded fingerprint sensor for speedy locking and unlocking.
Other features look set to include a Carl Zeiss-made 22.6MP rear camera, huge 3,500mAh battery and a fast Qualcomm processor.
The device was also set to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, keeping Nokia up to speed with many of the other top smartphones around today.
