Instagram To Sensor Adult Contents

Instagram

The social network is censoring “sensitive” snaps which could see the end of naked selfies on your feed.

It’s an attempt to ban nasty content, but might also put an end to cheeky pictures and belfies (bum selfies) favoured by the Kardashian/Jenner clan.

Instagram wrote in a blogpost: “As part of our goal to build a safe environment, we also have some updates to announce.

“Soon you may notice a screen over sensitive photos and videos when you scroll through your feed or visit a profile.

"While these posts don’t violate our guidelines, someone in the community has reported them and our review team has confirmed they are sensitive.

"This change means you are less likely to have surprising or unwanted experiences in the app."

You'll still be able to see the pictures if you tap on them but it means anything that's been flagged won't show up automatically.

It follows Snapchat, which banned naked selfies from its Discover feature over fears it would lose ad revenues.
