Stan Wawrinka And Grigor Dimitrov Are Set To Join Queens Club And Here Is How

Stan Wawrinka and Grigor Dimitrov have both confirmed their intention to play in this year's Aegon Championships at Queen's Club prior to Wimbledon.

They will join Sir Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal in a star-studded line up for the tournemanent.

Dimitrov, 25, won at Queen's in 2014 and sees himself as a better player now than he was three years ago.

And the Bulgarian thinks the event, played on grass, will provide the perfect preparation for what will follow at SW19.

"I feel like I’m a better player, a better person, better everything," he said.

"The grass court season is going to be a big thing for me with Queen’s and then Wimbledon around the corner.

"I’ve seen the field, it’s going to be very strong again, but I’m excited to see what my form is going to be like.

"I won the tournament a few years ago and I love it. It’s the best way to prepare for Wimbledon."

Dimitrov reached the semi-final at the Australian Open in Melbourne earlier this year and picked up titles in Brisbane and Sofia - but will face a tough task to claim victory at Queen's.

"By adding the US Open champion Stan Wawrinka to Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal, we now have 20 Grand Slam titles in our Aegon Championships singles field," said tournament director Stephen Farrow.

"Stan is one of the most exciting, spectacular shot-makers in the sport, and we are also thrilled that Grigor Dimitrov and Jamie Murray are going to be with us.

"Grigor is one of our most popular champions, and British crowds love watching Jamie play."

The Aegon Championships at Queen's Club will take place between June 19-25.
