What would the ultimate man look like?
A new study has revealed what women really want in a lover by creating 3D models of the ideal guy’s body.
TreadmillReviews.net quizzed 1,000 Americans about the physical traits they found most attractive in the opposite sex.
Here is today’s definition of perfection:
IDEAL MALE BODY
Based on the results from the study, the dream lad would be just over 6ft tall and would weigh in at 13.3st (187lbs).
This means he’d be taller than the average American guy, who measures 5ft 10ins, and the typical Brit who is 5ft 9ins tall.
But according to the National Institutes of Health, the ultimate man would still technically be overweight – with a BMI of 25.4 (the threshold for the overweight category is 25).
Interestingly survey respondents said that the ideal guy would work out eight hours per week – meaning he’d probably be pretty toned and in shape as long as he ate healthily.
IDEAL MALE BODY BY GENERATION
Researchers also looked into how the ideal guy’s figure changes by generation.
There were some surprising similarities across the ages, with millennials’, Gen Xers’ and baby boomers’ all fancying a lofty 6ft man.
But millennials wanted their ideal man to weigh 4-6lbs less and exercise one to two hours more each week.
But how important is body type when it comes to dating?
In a bid to find out whether fantasy matches up to reality, researchers asked women of they date people who have their ideal body type.
It turns out the majority of ladies (62%) opt for guys who have either a “very similar” or “similar” physique to their idea of perfection.
