Roger Federer congratulates to Andy Murray after the Brit attained the world No 1 ranking for the first time in his career.
Murray's new status was confirmed when Milos Raonic withdrew from the Paris Masters semi-finals through injury, ensuring the 29-year-old will have more points than Novak Djokovic when the new ATP rankings come out on Monday - regardless of whether he wins or loses against John Isner in Sunday's final.
The two-time Wimbledon champion is the first Brit to top the rankings since they began in 1973.
Swiss legend Federer, who has spent more weeks (302) as the world No 1 than any other player during his career, sent a congratulatory message to Murray via Twitter.
"We have a new [crown emoji] in town. Congrats Sir @ andy_murray," the 17-time Grand Slam champion tweeted.

Federer was one of a crux of figures within tennis to congratulate Murray on his new status.
Murray's mother, Judy, shared a throwback picture of the pair during the Scot's junior days alongside the caption: "You've come a long way baby."
