She was born and raised in Pakistan, so while there were families around her who celebrated Christmas, the festivities were nowhere near as full-on as they are in countries like the UK and the US, where Christianity is the most common religion.
‘She told me she would always watch Christmas cartoons,’ writes shawnwasim on Reddit. ‘and movies with the trees and snowfall. [She] dreamed about living it one day.’
So this year, shawnmasim’s grandma was given the Christmas celebrations she’s always dreamed of.
