It 's now Autum and we're on warm clothes. We all love summer. When it is gone, we feel the real essence of summer.

But don't worry there are still some places on earth where you can get the heat from in October.

1. LANZAROTE

Thanks to its close proximity to Africa, Lanzarote is delightfully warm in October. The average temperature in the Canary Island is around 24C at the beginning of the month and drops to 22C in the final few days.

It's sunny for nine-hours a day on the volcanic island and temperatures can soar as high as 27C.

With a host of scenic beaches, stunning national parks and beautiful volcanic hiking trials, it's a great and reasonably budget place for an autumn holiday.

2. TOBAGO

With pristine beaches, music festivals and lush rainforests, Tobago might be the Caribbean's best kept secret.

And with average temperatures of 27C in October it's a great place to catch some after-summer rays.

3. JAMAICA

If you want to sip on rum cocktails while relaxing on a white sandy beach, Jamaica is the perfect place for you.

Temperatures range from 24-27C in October and there are still eight hours of glorious sunshine.

4. MOROCCO

From the bustling markets of Marrakech to the surfing beaches in Anchor Point, Morocco is great for the more adventurous sun seeker.

The weather still reaches highs of 29C in October, so get booking.

5. CUBA

Havana is one of the most colourful capitals in the world and the pristine beaches of Cuba are also breathtaking.

With eight hours of sunshine and temperatures that can still rocket into the 30s, October is a great time to visit.

6. JORDAN

One of the most visitor-friendly countries of the Middle East, Jordan is a great off-the-beaten-track destination.

From ancient and awe-inspiring Petra to the Roman city of Jerash and the Dead Sea, there is enough to keen any avid adventurer busy for weeks.

In October there are still bright sunny days that light the rock of Petra up rose-red; but it is cool enough to journey into the Valley of the Moon on camel or horseback by day and warm enough to sleep out under the stars at night.

Temperatures tend to vary between 20-30C during the month.

7. CYPRUS

Temperatures are still in the high 20s in Cyprus, particularly along the south-west coast in and around Paphos.

Combine chilled-out days at the beach with exploring the atmospheric ancient ruins at Paphos Archaeological Park.
