Tesco withdraws Marmite, PG Tips, Flora, Ben & Jerry's following Brexit price strategy

Tesco has been withdrawn Marmite, PG Tips, Flora, Ben & Jerry's from its stocks following Brexit price strategy.

Marmite and Pot Noodle have been pulled from Tesco shelves in a price war sparked by Brexit.

Unilever, which owns the brands, has reportedly demanded steep price increases of around 10% as the value of the pound plummets following the vote to leave the EU.

But Tesco has refused to accept the rises and is reportedly locked in a dispute with the supplier.

Other household favourites affected include Persil, Surf, Dove, Comfort, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Elmlea, Colman's, Helmann's, Knorr, Bertolli and Flora.

Many products are understood to have sold out in stores across the country, while stocks are running low in others.

Unilever is alleged to have stopped deliveries to Tesco until the row is settled, meaning many of Britain's favourite brands have been pulled from the Tesco website.
