Poundland has announced it will start selling new items which are more than £1. This came after the company has been struggling to coping with the post-Brexit inflation.
The bargain store has been trialling a "multi-price offering" in the run-up to Christmas.
A spokesperson said on Ply Mouth Herald this is as a result of feedback from customers, who want more value from the product range on offer.
The trial scheme is running across a number of its stores, including in Plymouth.
But the outlet, on Royal Parade, will continue to sell cheap £1 items as usual.
A Poundland spokesperson added the stores will also run short-term offers across all its categories.
They said: "Poundland has been trialling a new multi-price offering across a number of its existing stores and this will continue through to Christmas with clear round pound price points.
"We have listened to feedback from our customers and wish to offer more value from the product range we sell in our stores by offering larger packs sizes and a wider selection of products.
"The stores will also run short term offers, across all categories including homewares, toys and seasonal ranges.
"Poundland is committed to its round pound proposition and all stores trialling multi price will continue to offer the full range at its famous £1 price point which customers all know and love."
