Diego Costa is the star of the match for Chelsea as Antonio Conte switches to 3-5-2.
Conte started with a 5-3-2 formation for the first time this season, playing David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta as his three centre-back’s and Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses as his wing-backs.
Willian scored after 61 minutes and it was no more than the Blues deserved having dominated proceedings up until that point.
Costa doubled the lead five minutes later to seal the points as Nemanja Matic was allowed to advance up to the Hull area before the Spain international curled in a delightful second into the same top corner Willian had hit before him.
Chelsea played out the rest of the game with ease, as Hull offered very little all afternoon and Mike Phelan will be worried after his side’s latest insipid display.
Next up for the Blues after the international break is a visit from champions Leicester City in the league, while Hull, now on the back of four straight defeats, travel to Bournemouth.
