Drive Without Stress

drive

Driving on the road can be extremely stressful even though you are good driver. While stressful driving could end you up with negative activities such as an unwanted accident.

Here are some quick tips for you to beat stress on the road

1. Read a good book. We can improve our levels of emotional intelligence by reading a novel. Particularly recommended anything written by Charles Dickens.

2. Do some sums. Which exercise the part of our brain using logic - mean that we're less likely to behave emotionally.

3. Embrace mindfulness. OK, so the whole mindful thing is a bit trendy and what we associate with weird-beardy hippies and yoga practitioners, it is a wise to spending a few minutes before we drive to clear our minds and relax, focusing on our breathing, stops us from getting quite so stressed when another road user does something that winds us up.

4. Say what you see. Advanced drivers use a technique called 'commentary driving', which involves scanning the road ahead and saying out loud what you see. As your brain is occupied with processing what you're observing and turning into language, there's no room for the emotional side to take over. Plus you'll find that your anticipation of what other road users are doing will improve, you're less surprised by them, so your adrenaline levels don't spike, which contribute to making you stressed.
