Here are the complete recipe for Double Chocolate Friands. This Chocolate Friand is a heaven for chocolate lovers.
INGREDIENTS
- 175g Organic Self Raising Flour
- 3 Organic eggs
- 275g Organic Caster Sugar
- 100g unsalted butter
- 50g organic cocoa powder
- 6 tbsp boiling water
- 50ml organic milk
- Chocolate ganache: 284ml double cream, 200g dark chocolate
METHODS
- Preheat the oven to fan 140C/conventional 160C/ gas 3
- Grease a 12-hole friand tin.
- Cream the butter and sugar together.
- Sift in the self raising flour and cocoa powder. Mix thoroughly.
- Add the boiling water and milk.
- Pour into the friand tins, and bake in the oven at 160c fan for 10-15 minutes until the sponge is light and springy to the touch.
- Once cooked take out of the tins and leave to cool on a wire rack.
- For the Chocolate ganache heat the double cream and then add the chocolate. Leave to set for around 6 hours.
- Once the friands are cooled you can pipe the ganache onto the friands. Heaven!
