Doctors are sharing ridiculous things

NHS

In everyday life we experience more or less problems such as feeling sick. Once we are feeling unwell we have to approach to the doctor to solve our issue.

On Reddit, doctors are sharing the most ridiculous ailments that patients have either come in for or called about.

And whether it's the guy who feared for his life after getting a static shock, or the one questioning his sexuality, you'll feel totally sensible by comparison.

Here are some of the hillarious things

1. 'Paramedic here. Had someone come into the ER because they were gay.'

2. 'He came to the ER because his iPhone app told him his sleep was poor quality.'

3. 'They'd never heard of static shocks, and couldn't understand why I couldn't treat his "condition"'

4. 'A woman called 911 for a body supposedly murdered underneath a railroad bridge. When we got there, it ended up being a log with a jacket thrown over it and a very drunk woman sobbing over said log.'

5. 'One of my patients went to the ER because they felt they had too much earwax in their ears and needed it removed.'

6. 'Her baby's first tooth had come through and she didn't know what to do. She asked me to cut out the rest of the teeth so that she didn't have to deal with teething anymore. Nope.'

7. 'A patient said every time he had sex with his wife, his mouth went numb for a little bit. His wife had been using spermicidal film every time before they started, and he had been going down on her.'

8. 'My wife is an OBGYN, and she was called because a teenage girl was bleeding. Yeah, it's exactly what you think it was.'

9. 'My mom took me to the ER because she thought I had blood poisoning. It was actually fruit punch I'd drunk earlier in the day and dripped down my leg. The nurse wiped it off, and I was saved.'

10. 'Took my young son in because he had a very regular rash on his lower back. It wasn't until I was in the doctor's office that I noticed that it had exactly the same pattern as the inlet cover on our jacuzzi.'

11. 'The patient said: "Well, I was at a wedding and it occurred to me that my son is a little short. Can you give him something right now to make him taller?"'

12. 'There was this young kid who was crying and told me his cousin might just be pregnant. They had made eye contact for a full ten seconds. The kid thought that this impregnated his cousin.'

13. 'A 20-year-old and his girlfriend come in at 2am freaking out because "something had torn his throat open". It was his uvula. Somehow this kid had gotten to the age of 20 without ever noticing his uvula.'

14. 'Had someone come into my ER last night because they had a splinter. A small one.'

15. 'Got called at 2am because "her daughter's farts smelled too bad"'

16. 'He reported severe burns from boiling water "all over" his body. On exam he had no visible burns, and had reduced his complaint to a small area on his right index finger.'
