Sunderland 0-3 Everton: Romelu Lukaku brings hat-trick

Everton beats Sunderland by 3-0 and Romelu Lukaku earns his hat-tricks.

The Belgian clinically dispatched two headers from excellent Idrissa Gueye and Yannick Bolasie crosses to end an 11-game goal drought.

Papy Djilobodji's moment of madness to step out from the back was then punished when Kevin Mirallas sent Lukaku through on goal and the former Chelsea forward calmly side-footed the ball past Jordan Pickford to put the game beyond doubt.

It was another disappointing outing for Ross Barkley after being snubbed by Sam Allardyce for England and he suffered the indignity of being hooked at half-time with replacement Gerard Deulofeu inspiring the Toffees in the second half.

The defeat increases the pressure on David Moyes with the Black Cats joint-bottom of the league with just one point from four games, while Ronald Koeman's side jump up into third.
