Now You Can Use Zoom +/- Feature On Instagram

Instagram

Instagram users will be able to use zoom features to perfect their photo.

Instagram have today announced that they are finally rolling out a ‘pinch to zoom’ feature on the app, to save us all from our exasperated eye rolls.

According to Instagram, the option to zoom is one of the most requested features from the app’s 500 million strong community, and it will be available today for users on iOS.

Android and Windows phones are expected to get the update in the coming weeks.

After support for landscape and profile aspect ratios, the move is thought to pitch Instagram as a platform not just for social media users, but for serious photographers who want to use the app as a portfolio.

Today, Instagram posted a video of exactly how the new zoom feature works to its feed.

In the post, it said: “Starting today, you can pinch to zoom on photos and videos in feed, on profiles and on Explore.

“Dive into an adorable puppy’s smile or into every detail of your friend’s new shirt.

“Over the past six months, you’ve seen many exciting changes come to Instagram, from a new icon to longer videos and even a new way to share everyday moments with Instagram Stories.

“And as things change, we’re still focused on improving the core parts of Instagram.”
