Manchester City beats Manchester United in a Derby match. The victory is first ever for Pep Guardiola.
United were struggling and offered nothing in attack throughout the first half hour - and City made their hosts pay.
City had the better of the opening stages and took a deserved lead through De Bruyne.
A long ball was forward is flicked on by Iheanacho and Daley Blind hesitated, allowing De Bruyne to nip in and fire a low shot into the net past David De Gea.
And City doubled their lead when De Bruyne's angled shot struck the post and fell to Iheanacho, who was being kept onside by Blind, and he calmly slotted home.
United looked out of it but they found a way back into the game after City debutant Claudio Bravo's error.
Wayne Rooney's free-kick was floated into the box and Bravo jumped and spilled the ball under pressure, allowing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to slam home.
Mourinho hauled off Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard at the break and replaced them with Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera as he looked to stop City's dominance.
And the substitutions appeared to have worked when Rashford's shot found the net, but the effort was ruled out after a deflection off Zlatan Ibrahimovic who was offside.
City went looking for a third and almost found one through Fernandho, but De Gea was on hand to produce a diving save.
And Guardiola's side looked to have scored when De Bruyne fired in a shot, but it struck the inside of the post and rolled along the line and past the other upright.
United searched for an equaliser but couldn't find it, and City left Old Trafford with their 100 per cent league record intact.
