Oily skin affects almost 90 per cent of the teenage population and a large number of adults too. Acne can be a source of embarrassment to you and leave you frustrated. While some people are born with oily skin, others may develop pimples due to poor cleanliness habits. Here is how to treat OIL SKIN.
1. Always wash your hands before touching your face. Dirt and bacteria can be easily spread and lead to outbreaks. Home remedies are the safest and best way to treat pimples. Applying toothpaste or calamine lotion on the area can help dry out the pimple. Leave it on overnight and wash off in the morning for an effective spot treatment.
2. Using a good face mask can also help. Try using a mineral clay mask and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. A garlic face contains antibiotic properties or you can go for a fruit-based one.
3. Keeping your hair off your face is essential so that it remains pimple-free. The hair picks up a lot of dirt on a regular basis and can cause bacteria to spread on the face.
4. Don't ever pinch or squeeze your pimple. This will only make it worse. the pimple will get red, may even burst and still worse leave a scar on your face. Hence be very careful when applying any ointment around the affected area.
5. If possible avoid using make-up on your face for a few days till the acne subsides. Instead cleanse your face at least twice a day with an oil-free cleanser and use a scrub as well. Don't rub too hard, else you'll take off the natural moisture of your skin and cause more harm.
