Banoffee Pie

Banoffee Pie

Here is the recipe for most delicious Banoffee Pie.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 250g Digestive biscuits

  2. 150g butter

  3. 200ml caramel sauce

  4. A ripe banana

  5. 284ml whipping cream
METHODSS
  1. Place the butter in a saucepan and while it melts, crush the biscuits in a food processor or using a freezer bag and a rolling pin/mallet

  2. Save a tablespoon of biscuit crumbs to decorate and mix the rest with the melted butter

  3. Once combined, layer this into the base of the pie tin, pressing down with your fingers to ensure it reaches the corners

  4. Spoon in the caramel sauce and spread it evenly over the base

  5. Finely slice the banana and arrange over the caramel sauce

  6. Whip the cream until you have moderate peaks, spread this over the pie and finish by sprinkling over the remaining biscuit crumbs

  7. Keep in the fridge to chill
