It seems to be a good news for Arsenal as Barcelona given up signing Hector Bellerin.
The 21-year-old started his career at Barca before moving to Arsenal in 2011 and signing professional terms in 2013.
He has been an ever-present in Arsene Wenger’s side and has impressed during his time at the Emirates.
And this has attracted interest from his former club with the La Liga giants reportedly touting Bellerin as a long-term replacement for Dani Alves, who signed for Juventus this summer.
But Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Barca boss Luis Enrique no longer believes he needs to bring in a first-team right-back.
It is claimed he has been impressed by the rapid rise of Sergi Roberto, who has moved from midfield to defence for both Barca and Spain.
The report adds the European giants have been put off by the Gunners’ unwillingness to do business.
This will come as a boost to manager Arsene Wenger, with Bellerin an important part of his plans.
