Apple revealed its iPhone 7 launch date

Apple has released its official date to launch its iPhone 7. It will be on September 7th.

Apple has sent out invites to a major event in San Francisco, and everything points to the iPhone 7 being given its grand unveiling.

The US tech giant always launches its flagship smartphone in September and rumours suggest this year will be no different.

There's no official word on what will be included on the new device but Apple are teasing the event with the words "See you on the 7th".

There's been plenty of rumours flying around the web about what to expect on Apple'e next generation iPhone.

These include a faster processor, new colour scheme and upgraded display.

iPhone 7 is expected to land in your pocket without a headphone port and, with the possibility of a waterproof design, it could be the first Apple device that's able to survive a dip in the bath.

Photography fans could also be in for treat with the new iPhone likely to feature advanced camera technology with some reports even suggesting a dual snapper on one of the models.

Apple's iPhone has been the firm's most successful device to date and these upgrades could boost sales further.
