If you're planning a holiday, but don't know whether it's cheaper to book in advance or swipe a last-minute deal, listen up.
Now summer has finally arrived you might be desperate to book a holiday as soon as possible, but you could save money if you hold off.
According to CheapAir, the best time to book your plane ticket is exactly 54 days before departure.
In general, the budget flying website recommends booking between 112 and 21 days before you take off.
But the latest study revealed that 54 days before tends to work out as the cheapest option – although the prices aren't set in stone.
And you might have been booking flights wrong your whole life as they're most expensive when they first go on sale and just before departure.
However, there are flaws in their advice as the 54-day rule doesn't apply to popular destinations like New York.
If you do want cheap flights to the States though, Wow Airlines have recently launched budget routes to the US.
British travel enthusiasts can now get to America for as little as £125.
Wow airlines have introduced a new route from Edinburgh to various destinations in North America with a minuscule price tag.
The budget flights will take passengers to popular destinations including Boston, Washington D.C., Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles or San Francisco.
Happy holidays folks!
