Many of us are not blessed with great looks or a chiseled physique, there are certain basic grooming tricks that we all need to master. And while men can get away with just pulling on a shirt and jeans and not have to spend hours at the salon getting themselves beautified, there are certain beauty faux pas which can be major turn offs.
Body odour. Nothing can be more repelling than a man who suffers from body odour. Yes, sweating is only natural especially in our kind of climate, but allowing yourself to smell is not. It reflects poorly on your bathing habits as well. Buy a good long-lasting deodorant or antiperspirant and if you still find yourself smelling get yourself checked by a doctor.
Excessive hair. While there's not much you can do about body hair, those on the ear or nose have to go. It's a sign of being unkempt and will just make you look older. Use small scissors to trim them and make sure your nose is clean at all times. If you suffer from excessive hair on the back and chest, it may be a good idea to wax or shave it off.
Dandruff. A large portion of the population suffers from it and it can be an embarrassing problem. Dandruff or dry flakes in the scalp can make you appear dirty or ungroomed. Healthy looking hair is a major turn-on for most women. Try using an anti-dandruff shampoo.
Additionally oiling the hair from time to time and washing regularly can also help.Messy hands and nails. Getting a manicure and pedicure may still have to catch on with the male gender but keeping your nails short and tidy is essential. Washing hands regularly is important as is keeping the nails well-cut. A man with dirty fingernails is a big turn off and can ruin your overall look.
Ensure your fingers and toes are corn and blister free.
