Spelling might not be your strong point, but a survey has revealed that 20 per cent of locations are spelt incorrectly by Brits.
And shockingly, the UK’s biggest cities seem to be the trickiest to master.
Ask British adults to spell Edinburgh, London, Torquay, Bicester or Bath and some will give you answers which read: Edinboro, Landan, Tourkey, Bister and Barth.

And following a booking audit, it has revealed that around 20 per cent of location entries are misspelt.
London, Edinburgh and Cardiff are among the top ten most popular locations regularly misspelt, with Edinburgh taking the number one position.
London is the second most popular location spelt incorrectly and Cardiff the eighth most popular misspelt location.
Edinburgh is most often spelt as: Edinboro, Edinburg and Edinbough.
London is entered as: Landan, Londan and Loodon whilst Cardiff is spelt as Kardiff.
The locations of Travelodge’s three most recent new hotel openings in Derby, Bicester and Glasgow also make the top ten most misspelt location list.
Derby is most often spelt more phonetically as Darby, Derbie or Darbie.
Shockingly, Glasgow is often typed as Glazgo and Glarsgow.
Other UK locations making the top ten list of misspelt locations include the popular seaside resort of Torquay which is often spelt as: Tourkey and Tourkie.
Nicknamed the Great Border city, Carlisle also makes the top ten listing of misspelt locations as it often spelt as: Carlilse and Carlyle.
Making up the rest of the top ten list are: Loughborough which is often spelt as: Luffboro and Luffbrough, and Warwick as Warrick.
