NEW Zealand, Dubai and America top locations. Where most Britons love to relocate to.

If you’ve ever wished you were waking up on the other side of the world, then this new research will resonate with you.

Because the study has revealed the reasons why Britons would be prepared to sell up and move abroad, with ‘safety’, ‘availability of affordable/attractive housing’ and ‘work/life balance’ topping the list.

The research was undertaken by home furnishings store Hillarys.

2,164 Britons took part in the survey, all of whom were at least 18 years old and had never lived abroad.

All respondents were first asked, “Where would you most like to emigrate to, if you were to leave the UK to live abroad?” and told to select all countries that applied.

New Zealand, Dubai and America topped the list of locations where Britons would most like to live outside of the UK, but which one came first?

But coming second, with 27 per cent of the vote, was Dubai — the UAE city known for opulence and epic skyscrapers.

And America also garnered 23 per cent of respondents despite the recent change to holiday visa’s making it harder for Brits to visit.

Shockingly the factor beating safety as a top reason to move was ’better weather’ with 73 per cent voting for it.

And ‘availability of affordable/attractive housing’ along with ‘better work/life balance’ also factored heavily for Brits.

A further 17 per cent stated that they would be tempted to leave the UK for better ‘availability of work/better pay’.

When asked what they would miss most about the UK, three quarters of respondents confessed that they would miss ‘the food.’

Helen Turnbull, HILLARYS , said: “Home is where the heart is – but our heads think otherwise and many of us would happily leave the UK for distant lands where money, work and housing prospects are better.”

“And that’s without even mentioning the weather!”
