Android Nougat: Features in a short

Android Nougat

Google has recently released of Android N or Android Nougat. Here are some of the features of it.

  1. Google has started to roll-out the latest iteration of its open source Android mobile operating system, Nougat.

  2. The new software is now available on Google Nexus devices, with smartphones from other manufacturers to follow. Android 7.0 Nougat beta testers will be the first to get the operating system update.

  3. Android Nougat, codenamed N, was previewed back in March.

  4. The finished release boasts a number of new features, including the ability to run two apps side-by-side, better battery life and improved encryption for personal data.

  5. Google has made the latest version of its software available to third-party device manufacturers, so it is now down to them to roll-out the features to their users. This can be a quick and painful process – LG’s V20, expected to launch in September, will run on Nougat.

  6. However some manufacturers, like Samsung, like to heavily customise the look and feel of Android, which can take additional time. It look the South Korean firm four months after the launch of 6.0 Marshmallow to begin pushing out the update to some of its flagship devices.

  7. But regardless whether you get Android 7.0 Nougat this weekend, or a weekend in early January 2017. There are some brilliant new features and software tweaks to look forward to.
